We Shall Remain, the five-part series that brings to life more than 300 years of Native American history in America, now has online kits available to help librarians, Trail of Tearseducators or community organizers plan events around the monumental series airing in April 2009.

The We Shall Remain library event kit offers programming ideas and resources to help libraries and other organizations deliver engaging events leading up to series premiere, and other resources during and after the series. The online kit includes ideas for:
  • Storytelling days
  • Reading circles
  • Cross-cultural art projects for youth
  • Ideas for discussion forums
  • Guidelines for evaluating media about Native peoples
  • An extensive bibliography of book, film, and Internet resources.
NAPT has provided funding for the series and has served as an adviser. The series will debut on PBS' American Experience in April 2009.
