I am a native american singer, dancer and recording artist with canyon records I have recorded with many of the top southern powwow drum groups including rosehill, youngbird, bad medicine, thunderhill and omaha whitetail to name a few, in addition to having to solo round dance recordings on canyon records the latest being "no more lies" released summer of 2009 I have been nominated for a nammy award songwriter of the year from my friest round dance recording "true lives from the road and was with youngbird at the grammy awards for best native american recording. I am also a recent graduate from cal state long beach with a b.a. in sociology and american indian studies
My great grandmother was a full blooded Shawnee. I have a picture of her in her native dress and beads. I have always felt a part of me is still kin to Native Americans and have been sympathetic to Native American causes. Since retiring from school administration and running an AM-FM broadcast interprise, I have taken to writing and music. I have written a book on Biblical History titled "Beyond Genesis", and I found myself so affected by the story of the North Carolina Cherokee ordeal of the 1800's that I felt moved to write a song about the "Trail of Tears" tragedy of the Cherokees. I also write a blog article on Creation and Evolution on the Christian Post online newspaper.
I am a member of the Red Lake Nation in Minnesota. I am a singer/songwriter. I am also an art teacher for students in grades K-8. I have just released my first CD of all original songs. My daughter sings with me on the CD and my brother plays lead guitar.

Even though I was not raised strictly Native, I hold traditions and beliefs strongly. I finally found a site who would produce my CD's, putting out my first CD "Spirits and Totems" just in 2/2010.
